MotoUtah: Motocross and Off-Road Riding in Utah

I was looking at a new bike, but realized after riding a number of different rides that I love my 01 cr.
So I'd like to buy another as either a parts bike or a spare ride incase the unthinkable happens.
If anyone here is selling theirs or knows of a good deal please let me know thanks.

I know of a very clean 2001 CR 250 that's for sale.

Beginner owned (at the moment...I bought it new, and sold it to my cousin in 2007-after it sat in my garage for two years-when I purchased my 2006 CRF 250...and I sure wish I hadn't done that, I love that bike)....new top and bottom end...new pipe...new tires...new sprocket/chain. he's ridden it maybe three or four times since I sold it to him and he had the motor rebuilt right after he bought it.

It's a great bike! New and gently used motor.

He's pretty firm at $2,200...but will take best offer as well. I think it's a fair deal at that price.

(he would even take a trade for an '00-'02 XR 400...that suits his skill level much better)

Thanks for the info guy's. The 00 is out. It is the motor in the 01 that does it for me. I heard that 03 had great ergonomics but nothing on the power.

my buddy has a 2001 cr 250 hes parting out. Im not too sure what he has but i know he wants to get rid of it.....
